Time for a sleepover!

I decided a few nights ago to have a sleepover with Christine and Wendy.  My mom thought we were nuts, like we don’t spend enough time together already since we’re in the school “pod” we have.  But hey, that’s school and sleepovers are fun!  It was the weekend and we were bored, so why not?

I showed the girls one of my cool finds, a typewriter!  I found it on Ebay and spent my Christmas money on it.  It works great, mom even tried it out and said it was in great shape.  Christine and Wendy both thought it was pretty cool and Wendy had fun trying it out.

“Really cool find Mimi!”

We decided it was time to put our pj’s on and get to doing all the things you do at a sleepover–like eating and talking!

“Christine, since you don’t have a sleeping bag, you can sleep in the bed and I’ll sleep on the floor.  I’ve been wanting to try out my new sleeping bag!”

“I think both sleeping bags will fit, it might be a little tight though.”

Wendy brought her bear toy, she’s had it since she was little and says she has a hard time sleeping without it.  Isn’t it cute??  I told her to be careful though, Laney might think it’s for her and steal it!

Once we had the sleeping bags all arranged, it was time for pizza!!!

While we were eating, I told the girls the big news!  There’s a new girl that moved in just down the block and she’s going to be joining our pod soon!  I haven’t had a chance to meet her, our moms have just talked, but I think it will be fun to have a new person.  I bet it would be really scary to have to move right now AND start at a new school or something.  Hopefully this will be a bit easier and she’ll be okay.  Christine said we’ll have to be super nice to make sure she doesn’t get overwhelmed.  We laughed and said we could put Allie in charge of being the “welcoming committee”!

We talked a lot and listened to music.  Then it was time to go to sleep, it was well after midnight and my mom kept telling us we were being too noisy.  Oh well.  It was still fun and we could whisper and giggle to each other until we all fell asleep.

  1. Oh, my gosh! It’s pink! I love it!

Sleepovers are so much fun! Looks like a great night! I have a bear like that! Best thing in the world!

Looking forward to meeting your new neighbor!

    • Yes, pink! It’s an OG from the retro line. It’s cute, but definitely not as well made as the one from Kit’s collection. Couldn’t think of what they call that bear–then ran across something about them, a lovey. Now I’ll never forget! Hopefully the new neighbor will show up on the blog soon.

  2. How cute and love the type-writer! I can’t wait to see who the “new girl down the street” is! I must say, my girls are very “sleep-over” starved. I can’t wait until spring/summer when the COVID numbers go back down and they can possibly do that again. Oh, the things we took for granted!

    • I know, it’s really sad. I’d just like to be able to go to the store to shop without planning it like the Normandy Invasion. Everything is so complicated now. 😦
