Doll Sized Finds–bet you thought I’d given up!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted any doll sized finds.  Mostly because I haven’t had time to hit up any thrift stores.  Plus, I’m really trying to restrict what comes in, sticking with the “it has to be better than what I have already” motto.  In early December though, I really got the itch to go looking, and it turned out to be a pretty good search.  I even managed to find a clothing item for me!

First up are these cute baskets I found.  I have a few baskets already, but these were way different from anything else I already had.  I paid less than a dollar for the pair, so definitely something not to be passed up.

Here’s Zara holding the one so you can get an idea of the scale.  I think this would be a cute item for in the bakery, holding muffins, scones, breads, etc.

Another stop yielded an awesome find:

A sofa!!! You may remember that when I cleaned the dollhouse back in the fall, my other one bit the dust.  I wasn’t 100% happy with it anyhow as it took up way too much space.  This one is a much better size, although I think it could stand to be a bit deeper on the seat.  I’m going to do some upholstery type work on it, so that should resolve the issue.

Zara agrees that with some minor adjustments, it will be just perfect for the living room.  Not too bad for $1.79!

Have you found anything awesome lately while out shopping?  My “doll eyes” have been on a bit of a break but I’m still always on the lookout!

    • Thrifting at the moment hasn’t been all that great, not just for the dolls either. I did pass up an OG car yesterday, it was very tempting, but I just don’t have space for anything else large and my dolls aren’t old enough to drive anyhow! 😉

      • It could be that we are still very close to the holidays. I remember one year finding an awesome doll at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Her hair needed attention but otherwise her articulation (at least 9 points) was great/tight and her dress super cute. At $3 I almost snapped her up, but decided instead to pose her sitting nicely at the very front of the shelf so that she could be seen by a little girl or family who needed something under the tree. She was not there when i went back after Christmas.
