Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays, and all that stuff!!!

Hi guys!!!  Sorry I’ve been a bit absent lately.  Between the holiday season and some other stuff, I just haven’t had the time to do much with the doll blog.  I’ll be honest, it is driving me nuts.  But unfortunately, I’ve been not only suffering from a severe case of writers block, my mind hasn’t been in the right place either.  Rather than post something that doesn’t live up to my usual quality and expectations, I decided it best to just take a bit of a break until I get past it.  I even had posts planned to do for the holiday season, but I just wasn’t feeling it.

Recently I’ve met a person who has been not only a great support, but is just an incredible human being.  I’m still trying to figure out exactly why our paths crossed when they did, but I’m not questioning it.   My conversations with her have been just what I needed to get my butt into gear and jump into another venture that I’ve been contemplating for several months.  It’s still in the very early stages at this point, but once it gets to a certain point, I’ll be sure to share.  It’s not doll related, but it is writing related, and I’m the most excited I’ve been about this idea in a very long time.

Because of this project, I’m not sure that I’m going to be as active with the blog, but I’m not going anywhere either.  Blogging has been a great escape at times when I needed a boost, and I still have so much I want to do here.  It doesn’t help that every time I walk into the “doll room”, there are all those cute faces looking at me, waiting on the next adventure.  Rest assured, there will be more.  It just may not be as often for a little while.

Thank you all for reading my blog.  Without you, it would just be a bunch of pages out there on the internet, taking up space.  Readers make it real, and the interactions I’ve had with many of you, both here and in real life have been invaluable.  I plan on being back right after the New Year with some new posts and fun with the gang.  I am still planning on continuing the book group as scheduled too.

(You had to know I couldn’t write a Christmas post without the Minions now, didn’t you????)

  1. So happy that you are not leaving the doll world!!! I will miss your frequent posts! I check several times a day to see if you have posted anything. I especially like your crafts! It is good that you are going on another adventure. Makes life exciting!

    • I’m hoping that after the new year I can get a bit more organized and post a more regularly. Between the holidays and everything else, time has just gotten away from me. And yes, it’s definitely exciting, and the encouragement I have been getting from a couple of people has helped a lot too.

  2. Funny, this is really similar to what’s happened to me! I ‘met’ someone who I’ve actually known my entire life, but this time I’m really getting to know her deeply and see how incredibly special she is and we’re very very close now. She’s so supportive of me, and also, an incredible human being. I feel the same way you do about my dolls and blog. Still blogging but definitely not nearly as often. VERY excited to hear your news when you’re ready to tell us! Merry Christmas, Flo!!!

    • So cool! This person and I just recently connected, and the way we connected is absolutely bizarre. Between her and a couple of other people who have recently come into my life, I’m experiencing this huge amount of creative energy and support, and it’s absolutely amazing! I’ll be honest, it’s thrown me a little bit, but I think in the end it’s all going to be an incredible journey, even if it doesn’t end up 100% the way I hope.

  3. Merry Christmas to those doll friends who celebrate! Over here I have Addy and Kit dressed for Christmas and hoping to wrangle a few more into their outfits today. There might be a few AG things under the tree but no new friends.
Excited to hear about your new interests!

    • Merry Christmas to you too Jen!!! I’ve been very good about not buying a whole lot, but I did take advantage of some of the sales. Still a new friend to introduce too, so a lot to write about in the New Year! I’ll have to text you after the holiday to tell you more about what has been going on, you’ll get a kick out of it.

  4. Don’t worry about it at all! The holidays are always so crazy! I have just finally managed to get out from under Christmas, and I am excited to start the New Year. I promise, nobody is organized at this time of year, so just relax and enjoy! We will all be here come January!! 🙂 Merry Christmas to you! (totally belated LOL!) I can’t wait to hear about your new adventure!

  5. I was just thinking I hadn’t heard from y’all in a little bit. (I suppose I should say “yous” or “y’ens”) At least not through the blog. 🙂

The holidays are nuts. I haven’t gotten out Christmas letter/cards out yet.

I’m totally excited for your next endeavor, but am just as thankful you are not leaving the doll community.

Merry belated Christmas and Happy New Year!

    • “You-ins”. Gotta say it like a true Picksburger LOL!

I can’t see myself leaving, I enjoy the community and the friendships I’ve made way too much. I just have to figure out a good balance at this point. Right now my head is still spinning.

Same to you! Looking forward to more of our adventures together!
